Shindagin Hollow State Park

What a wonderful Mother's Day ride Beej and I had with Cycle-CNY.  We went to Shindagin Hollow State Park for the first time and had an amazing time.  The crew at Cycle-CNY was great and very patient with us and did not leave us behind.  I was so proud of Beej as she was even in front for a while and she booked down hill at a decent clip.  I broke off for a little bit and followed some of the faster guys (and gal) down for a little bit and had the most fun going down a mountain ever!!!!!!  We are really enjoying ourselves, so much so that Beej said that she wants to go back as she really enjoyed those trails.  We will definitely be back!!!!

Chenango Valley State Park

Today Beej and I went to Chenango Valley State Park (CVSP).  I can see so much improvement from the both of us.  We both reached a milestone today as we both were able to complete sections that we hadn't been able to complete before.  As our skills and technique build, our lungs and legs get stronger and stronger.  We also get a lot healthier and it's helping us in loosing weight.  All in all, today was a good day.

Jones Park

So Beej and I went biking with Cycle-CNY this past Sunday.  It was our first group ride up here in New York.  We went to Jones Park which is located in South Vestal, NY.  It was our first time there and man were we not ready for it.  We started out with a lot of uphill riding (walking our bikes) and got wore out from the beginning.  But all in all, we had a fantastic time even though it has to be the coldest ride that we've ever done.

As you can see, the trails were a little wet as it had been raining the day before.  I wouldn't have traded it for anything though as I really enjoyed it.  I can't wait to go on more group rides.

What!!!!!

I can't believe that it's been over two years since i've blogged anything on here.  I promise to get better at this as i'm doing more and more biking.  Lets see how I do.

Bikes Were Stolen!!!!

As some of you know, I do a lot of traveling for my work.  Well, last weekend I had to move to a different hotel due to the rent being raised at my previous corporate residence.  I have an enclosed trailer that I tow with just about everything my wife and I own in it.  It makes our lives easier when you travel this much.  We were slowly unloading a bit every night after work until getting settled in.  This past Friday, the bad guys got to the trailer before I could finish unloading it.  Guess what?  This bikes were still in it and now they are gone.  It is driving me crazy.  I contacted the police and gave them the serial numbers (You guys must always record these just in case).  We will see if they get recovered.  I also have my bike registered with Diamondback themselves.  Hopefully we will replace the bikes soon and get back to riding.

Mercer Park, NJ

Beej and I met with the Phildelphia Mountain Biking Meet-Up Group
yesterday for a beginners ride at Mercer Park in NJ. This was my
second time out with them but Beej's first. We had a great time and
rode for about three hours. The ride leaders were very helpful and
kept you informed of the obstacles coming up ahead of you. They
helped you with your shifting, clearing logs, roots and even going up
and down hills properly. They made you feel confident on your bike
and manouvering the twisty single track. As you can see by the
picture Above, A good time was had by all. I can't wait till the next
ride. Beej and I will be purchasing hydration packs today. This is a
must for anybody mountain biking through trails. I will write a
review on what we choose.
